As the holiday season settles in, it’s time to start thinking about giving back to our community. The NHS is doing its annual food drive, kicking it off last week.
The food drive will last from now to December 15, the day before break. The donations will be taken to the Christian Center where they will be given out to anyone in need of food in Park City and Heber Valley. The donations will also be taken to the Peace House, where the supplies will last several months. You can donate any non-perishable food and hygiene products to the drive. Go by Mr. Murphy’s room and pick up a flier with a list of donation items.
This year’s theme is the Hunger Games, so bring your donations to your two red. Whichever district raises the most food will win a pizza party! The three runner-ups will get donuts, but no matter how you slice it, the pizza party is the way to go!
The NJHS at Ecker Hill Middle School and Treasure Mountain has also partnered with the NHS as well as the elementary schools throughout Park City. So encourage any younger siblings or friends to help out also!
Let the Hunger Games begin!
