With Homecoming week wrapped up, and some new piping hot gossip, I cannot wait to give you guys the rundown.
Starting with the Powder Puff game Tuesday night. This game showed an excellent performance from the senior girls, as they stole their victory in the last quarter of the game. The grapevine confirms that this game was the most incredible comeback in Powder Puff history. Critics theorize the referees were taking bribes, seniors adamantly claim their victory was pure skill.
Moving on to Powder Buff Wednesday night with a stellar defeat to the Juniors, not even winning one of all three sets. Honestly, embarrassing.
Anyways… on Thursday, the student council put on a successful bonfire with fun music, smores, and an exciting appearance of the Shaka Shake Bowl food truck that everyone enjoyed.
Finally, Homecoming Eve (aka Friday) was packed full with fun activities. Beginning with the Pep Rally, another senior victory in tug-of-war, a triumphant win during the football game, and the homecoming parade at halftime. The winning court included: Charlie Cusimano and Dax Marshall as sophomore Duke and Dutchess, Vince Billanti and Georgia Reed as Junior Prince and Princess, and finally, Chase Campbell and Scarlett Brinton as our 2023 Homecoming King and Queen.
After all of the fun and suspense of the week, the Homecoming dance finally arrived! Many attendees claim “It was the most fun dance I have ever been to!” Live music, lots of food and treats, and an indoor-outdoor venue, alongside friends and peers made for a fun-filled, unforgettable night! As the week closed out and events came to an end, student council and their peers consider this an incredibly successful homecoming week!
