Here to get caught up on all the latest trends and hottest topics? You have come to the right place! September was an action-packed month for Park City High School, so if you didn’t have the chance to check your phone and stay in the loop, here is what has happened:
Have a boyfriend? A boy best friend? A brother? Ask how often he thinks of the Roman Empire, strangely, I’m sure he will say quite a bit. The Roman Empire trend has taken over social media, leaving girls clueless as to why the males in their lives are subconsciously thinking about the Roman Empire. I have taken many history classes and the Roman Empire has never seemed to cross my mind since I learned about it in the 8th grade. What is so intriguing about the Roman Empire that created such a significant impact on the minds of the males? I have no answer for you, but after interviewing multiple of my guy friends, they have proven the fact that this is a real thing, that I guess the girls will just never come to understand. Ladies, here’s a question for you, what’s something that never leaves your mind? What’s your Roman empire?
Enough talk about trying to decode the boys, anyone a Swiftie here? After recent news and much talk on ESPN, it has been confirmed that famous pop star Taylor Swift just hard-launched her new boyfriend, Travis Kelce, a face for the Kansas City Cheifs. She has been seen attending all the Chiefs games sitting shoulder to shoulder next to Kelce’s mom drawing in lots of attention to the Chiefs. A whole new demographic has been roped into watching football now. Is it surprising that many teen girls and middle-aged moms are so invested in watching football all of a sudden? I know that’s the only reason I’m watching. Hopefully, this is a “love story” and not a “we are never getting back together” situation, but a song called “Dear Travis” would not be horrible either!
Shifting gears and jumping right into the spooky season, happy October Miners! If you’re like me and get totally obsessed with romanticizing Halloween, here are some fun activities you can do to keep yourself in the spooky spirit this fall. Does anyone have a fall boo? Make them a boo-basket: a great way to get in the spooky spirit with your significant other by getting a cute basket and filling it with all their favorite treats…bonus points if you add a couple of tricks in there too! Also, only Thursday through Saturday, Nightmare on 13th is back in business in quite a boom with their new scary attractions that will surely get you in the Halloween spirit. I don’t know about you, but I’ll be taking a few of my friends to check it out with me. At the end of the night, sit down, relax, put on your comfy pajamas, make some pumpkin spice hot chocolate, and turn on your favorite horror movie. If you don’t see me all weekend, know I’m inside watching Corpse Bride on repeat!
Thanks for listening and stay tuned for more!
