Percussion teacher Bret Hughes and English teacher Melissa Nikolai received the PCEF Excellent Educator Award during a school meeting on May 13.  They received the award because their fellow educators nominated them for recognition.

Social studies teacher Josh Goldberg won The Sarah & Stephen Doilney Award.  He received this award because the graduating seniors voted him as their most influential teacher.

Jim Doilney and Mike Barnes worked with PCEF to create the Excellent Educators award in 1996.  Jim Doiley also supports The Sarah & Stephen Doilney Award in honor of his mother, who was a teacher.

The Excellent Educator program will extend throughout the month of May.  All 680 PCSD employees will be named on banners on Main Street, as part of the PCEF “Names in Lights” program.  There will also be banners at schools with the names of its employees.
