Sterling Scholar Nominations
Sterling scholars is an annual tradition here at Park City High School. Scholars are selected from a pool of students from their high school for different categories and represent their school at a larger regional competition where they can compete to earn scholarship money. Students are evaluated based on achievements in their category, leadership, and community service.
This competition is for senior students, and the sterling scholars selected to represent the PCHS this year were announced in late November. The selections are as follows:
Abigail Miller – Family and Consumer Sciences
Deborah Hsu – General
Elizabeth Richardson – Dance
Jack Goodman – Math
Jamie Forchic – Visual Art
Jessica Sutherland – Vocal Performance
John Trahan – World Language
Jude Trahan – Business/Marketing
Kate Kehoe – Social Science
Katherine Beal – English
Mira Terry – Skilled and Tech Education
Noam Levinsky – Debate
Ryan Skidmore – Science
Tyler Peabody – Agricultural Science
Zane Jensen – Instrumental Performance
Zerin Robertson – Computer Technology
The nominated students are currently creating a portfolio about their accomplishments to submit to the judges before the regional competition.
The regional Sterling Scholars competition will occur on March 7 at Utah Valley University, where nominated students will be interviewed by judges. Overall winners will be announced the same evening.
