Meet the Editors
The editors of the Park City Prospector each shared a little about themselves in this unique feature.
Kate Beal is the editor-in-chief of the Prospector. Before starting high school, she went on a six-month around the world trip with her family and then landed in Park City. Since then, she discovered that calculus was awesome and learned that ledes and nut grafs are real journalism terms. In her free time, she loves reading (and getting way too invested in books) and writing lots of fictional stories.
Max Kushner is the managing editor for the Prospector. She enjoys doing theater and playing softball for the high school varsity team. In her free time, she likes reading and playing guitar.
Andee Lyons is the news editor for the Prospector. She has been a figure skater for twelve years and counting. She loves being outdoors, listening to music and is seeking out ways to become more mindful.
Emma Ratkovic is the feature editor of the Prospector. She enjoys reading, writing, the outdoors, and her adorable dog.
Brewster Hutchinson is the sports editor for the Prospector. He enjoys playing and watching sports as well as listening to music.
Lindsay Benedek is the website manager for the Prospector. Her favorite thing to do in her free time is to hangout with friends and explore new things. Lindsay is very interested in how the world works and how she contributes to it.
Molly-Mae Sims is a junior, and is the social media manager for the Prospector. She joined journalism because she loves to write and would like to do something in the journalism field when she is older. She is the GRiT (Girls Riding Together) mentor for the High School Mountain bike team, and loves to go camping with friends. In her free time Sims will most likely be found watching Netflix.
Brent Johnson is the media arts manager for the Prospector. His favorite author is Kurt Vonnegut, who he claims to have had a significant impact on his personality. So it goes.
