PCHS Hockey Wins Another One

After a 3-1 victory over the Farmington Phoenix, Park City High School has finished the season as back-to-back champions.

Earlier in the playoffs, Park City lost to Farmington in overtime of the semi-finals 2-3.

With the tournament being double-elimination (two losses to be eliminated) the Miners were forced to the losers bracket and had to work their way back up to the championship.

After beating Herriman 1-0, Park City earned an opportunity at a rematch against Farmington.

By losing to Farmington earlier, the Miners had to beat the Phoenix twice. They started off by beating Farmington in a back and forth battle where Park City defeated Farmington 1-0 in a shootout.

This win gave them a winner-takes-all final battle where the Miners were victorious earning them their second straight State Championship.
