NHS Miners Take On The Food Drive In Hopes Of Defeating The Wasps

Park City High School’s National Honor Society is now holding its annual food drive. All of the food and supplies collected by PCHS is donated directly to the Christan Center of Park City. In previous years, classes have competed against each other based on the hallway and theme they have been assigned. However, this year it looks a little different. The Park City Miners are competing against the Wasatch Wasps and working together to donate towards local non-profits; the Wasp’s donations will go to the Christian Center Heber Valley pantry.  This year, the goal is to collect 1,000,000 points in total. Last year, the high school raised 424,674 points worth of donations. As of December 9th, PCHS is at 72,811 points, with Nagel leading 10,188, Murphy in second place with 10,000, and Perry coming in third place with 8,777. Every teacher has come up with incentives to encourage students to donate food. Social studies teacher Mr. Chinn will shave his head and physics teacher Ms.Waller will bring in her boyfriend to teach the class about the physics of ski lift mechanics. Senior Jonathan Mount, will wear heels and a dress and even bring in pizza if his class gets 10,000 points. The food drive ends December 17th, make sure to bring in food for your 2red class!
